One visit to Lake Koronis and it’s not difficult to understand why journalists who have been here over the years have called this “one of the most beautiful lakes in Minnesota.”

With three majestic islands dividing this 3,014 acre body of water into three large bays, with their meandering wooded shoreline and diverse topography, residents and summer guests classify Lake Koronis as the overall best recreational lake in the Midwest.

Thank you to the entire Paynesville community for welcoming my family and I to your great town while we were on vacation last week!    A special thanks to Paul, Lori, Michelle and Wayne at the fabulous Bug-Bee Hive Resort – we felt so blessed to stay at such a wonderful place for the week!   Thanks to Heather for singing karaoke around the campfire with us.   Thanks to Gavin at Teals.   Thanks to Jo, Mike & Dugan at the Flanders Ranch.    Thanks to Mike, the social studies teach at the middle school and so many other friendly residents for saying “hi.”  Thanks to Stephanie at the Paynesville Liquor Store.   Thanks to Chef Dan for awesome pasta at Bug-Bee’s pasta night.   Thanks to Cindy the yoga instructor.   Thanks to Denise at The Pilgrim Inn.   Thanks to Alco and Teals for having all the items we forgot to pack.   Paynesville will always have a special place in our hearts and we hope to see you again next year.
