There’s no reason that our community airport can’t be used to bring wealthy tourists to Paynesville.  Even the rich are interested in good fishing, beautiful lakes, golfing, agriculture and local culture.  Many resorts in northern Minnesota draw a large clientele from the Chicago area, many of whom fly in for their vacations.  Another perspective to consider is the fact that many Minnesotans go south for the winters, but can’t wait to get back to Minnesota for our summers (and to escape the heat in the south).  Climate change forecasts suggest that things are only going to get hotter, which suggests that more temperate states, such as Minnesota, may be in high demand during the spring, summer and fall seasons.  Fly them to Paynesville; we’ll provide the ground transportation.
